Speedo Angle Drive

IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE FITTING

If you are fitting a new angle drive because your old one has stopped working or broken, you must find out why it has stopped working before fitting a new one.

If the broken part is replaced with a new one, it will also break. The angle drive is the weakest link in the Speedo drive system. As a result, any problem with any component in the system will cause the angle drive to fail first.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT WARRANTY RETURNS ON ANGLE DRIVES THAT ARE BROKEN.

The following are the causes of a broken angle drive, check before fitting! :

  • Speedo cable kinked / frayed or seized
  • Cable run dry – should be lubricated with grease
  • Speedo head (at the gauge) run dry / tight / seized. If this is the case, the speedometer must be sent to a specialist for reconditioning / servicing
  • If the old angle drive has sheared off, make sure that all remnants and debris are removed from the gearbox Speedo drive.
